I taught my first sex ed class this year (taught in a Jewish day school no less). It was very sad just how little my students know about their own bodies and how things work.

I was lucky enough to have parents like you. They taught me anything and everything whenever I asked. I would then go to school and tell ALL my classmates what I had learned. Once they figured out that my parents actually educated me, they asked me all kinds of questions.
It’s just ridiculous the lack of knowledge kids enter puberty with. I hope this bill passes. Thanks for the article.

Thanks! My hope is that by sharing more and more stories steeped in reality (vs this myth) we’ll slowly start chipping away at it. We need to widen the platform of the motherhood narrative – covers like this are huge leaps in the opposite direction, so we have a lot of work to do!
